Our black and champagne diamonds are also hand- selected to ensure you get a beautiful diamond. Even after you put a ring on it, we still treat you like friends and family.

IS THERE A LOOP STORE LOCATION I MAY VISIT?

Not yet, but it’s in the works. Stay in the loop and we’ll keep you posted on our plans! If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you can always make an appointment to view our rings IRL. Contact concierge@loopjewelry.com to set an appointment.

I want to speak or chat with a human, what do I do?

You can speak with a human via live chat during our live chat hours. Or if you’d like to speak to someone on the phone, please schedule an appointment with our Diamond Concierge to speak with one of our diamond experts!

Are your diamonds responsibly sourced?

Yes! All of our Loop diamonds are responsibly sourced, and we take a stand with the world by having a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Through efforts like the Kimberley Process which helps police diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds combined with having partners who only work with vendors that own and responsibly source their diamonds, Loop Jewelry is committed to providing you with responsibly sourced diamonds, because that should be standard. Our diamonds are also pre-screened and hand-selected by a diamond expert looking for everything that certificates don’t tell you.

How does the Kimberley Process work?

The Kimberley Process started in 2000 when Southern African diamond producing states met in Kimberley, South Africa to discuss ways to stop the trade of conflict diamonds. The Kimberley Process imposes extensive requirements on its members (54 participants representing 81 countries) to be able to certify their shipments of rough diamonds as “conflict free” and prevent conflict diamonds from entering the legitimate trade. Those members account for approximately 99.8% of the global production of rough diamonds. The US joined in 2003 by passing the Clean Diamond Trade Act to adopt the Kimberly Process. It prohibits the importing/exporting of any rough diamond to/from the US unless the rough diamond has been controlled through the Kimberley Process. In fact, all US diamond retailers must buy their diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation that the diamonds were obtained through legitimate channels.

What is the clarity range for your white Loop Diamonds?

Round Brilliant, Oval, and Cushion Diamonds:
The above listed shapes will have a clarity range of Flawless (FL) to Slightly Included (SI2). Typically speaking white diamonds that are FL to VS2 should be eye-clean for you. This means that at a distance of 8 to 10 inches in the face-up position in natural daylight, there will be no visible inclusions. (Essentially an eye-clean VS2 will look the same to the naked eye as a flawless diamond.) Our slightly included (SI1 to SI2) white diamonds may or may not be eye clean for you. We do go beyond what it means to be slightly included and hand select our white diamond to not have any large dark inclusions on the table or crown of the diamond. Why put these diamonds in our diamond inventory? Because we feel that they are a great value and just as beautiful, we wouldn’t want you to miss out on a great diamond!

Emerald Cut Diamonds:
For our white emerald cut diamonds we do not go lower than a VS2 clarity. We will also hand select our emerald cut diamonds to make sure there are no large dark inclusions in the table or crown. Because emerald cuts have a different facet pattern (step cut) it is possible that a VS2 clarity diamond will not be eye clean. Our diamond experts will help you pick the perfect one!

Are there any tricks to help find what color of diamond will look best in my ring?

For white diamonds, the color of the metal you set your diamond in can have some extra positive results! A more colorless diamond, such as D to F will look fantastic in platinum or any metal color setting. If you’re looking to save some money, you can opt for a G color diamond since it is right on the borderline of colorless/near colorless range will also look great in all metal colors. A G color diamond will look just as beautiful as a colorless diamond (D to F) and can save you thousands. Warmer diamonds such as H to I will pop in yellow gold and rose gold metals.

Why is there no cut grade for your white emerald, oval and cushion diamonds?

Fancy shapes (ie emerald, oval, cushion, etc) do not receive a cut grade. The reason behind this is fancy shapes are not calibrated like a round brilliant is.For instance, ovals can be longer/skinnier or shorter/wider. One version is not better than the other, it is just a personal preference! At Loop to help ensure that your fancy cut white diamond has the most amount of sparkle possible, we only carry fancy shape diamonds with the best proportions and of course have excellent to very good polish & symmetry.

Are your white cushions square or more rectangular (elongated)?

Our white cushion diamonds will be a combination of both! The overall outline of a cushion diamond has to do with the length to width ratio. For a more square cushion, the best l/w ratio is 1.00 to 1.05 while the l/w ratio for a more rectangular cushion is between 1.06 to 1.15. Contact our Diamond Concierge if you would like help choosing one over the other.

Do you sell “crushed ice” white cushion diamonds?

The majority of white cushion shaped diamonds will be cut in a modified facet pattern known as a cushion modified brilliant. It will depend upon on the specific facet pattern whether the diamond will have the “crushed ice” look or not. Contact our Diamond Concierge if you would like help choosing one over the other.

I am between a round and a cushion, which shape would give me the largest look?

Because cushions carry more carat weight in the bottom of the diamond, they tend to face up smaller than a round brilliant of the same carat weight would.

I have heard about fluorescence in a diamond. Is this something that I should be concerned about?

Fluorescence can be a tricky thing in a diamond. In colorless diamonds it can make the diamond appear hazy and in warmer diamonds it can sometimes make the diamond appear whiter face up. Because it is something we don’t want you to worry about, all of our Loop diamonds will have none to faint fluorescence!

Do you sell clarity enhanced or laser drilled diamonds?

We do not. Although laser drilling is a stable treatment for diamonds, it is not Loop’s policy to treat our white or champagne diamonds in any way. Clarity enhanced (aka fracture filled) is not a stable treatment and we would never offer that to you.

Do you sell color enhanced diamonds?

Our white and champagne diamonds are not color enhanced. Their color was provided by nature! Our black diamonds, like almost every black diamond used for jewelry are treated to give them that mysterious deep black color.

Can you custom source a white diamond for me?

Yes! If you’re not finding what you want on our website, please contact our Diamond Concierge at concierge@loopjewelry.com and let us know what you’re looking for and we can check our inventory to find the diamond that’s right for you. All of our white diamonds are curated to only be the best quality and value, (these are the same diamonds we’ve recommend to family and friends). We exclusively sell GIA certified white diamonds that are on the higher end of the color and clarity scale. Cut, polish and symmetry all affect sparkle, so we only offer the best available (triple excellent cut, polish & symmetry for white round diamonds, and very good to excellent polish & symmetry for white oval, emerald and cushion shapes) because you should never have to compromise on sparkle.

For Ready-To-Ship why does it say HI Si1 for white round diamonds, and HI VS2 for white emerald cut diamonds?

These are the minimum color and clarity characteristics of our ready-to-ship engagement rings. This means that your white round diamond will have a minimum of H or I color (near colorless) and SI1 clarity (slightly included). For our white emerald cut diamonds, the minimum color grade will also be H or I (near colorless) and VS2 clarity (very slightly included). All of our Loop white diamonds are graded by GIA and all of our round white diamonds are GIA triple excellent (cut, symmetry, polish). All of our emerald, and oval white diamonds will be GIA excellent to very good polish & symmetry.

What is the color and clarity grade for your champagne diamonds?

Our champagne diamonds will be C3/C4 in color, and will have a clarity grade of SI1/SI2.

Are your black diamonds real?

Yes, our black diamonds are real diamonds. Like most black diamonds used in jewelry, our black diamonds are treated to give them their consistent, deep black color. Besides standing out in a crowd, black diamonds are a great choice if you want something really special at a great price.

Why is there no cut grade for all black and champagne diamonds?

This is not evaluated the same way as our white diamonds. Colored diamonds in general are cut so that the maximum amount of color can be seen face up. Our black and champagne diamonds are no exception. We focus on the color to ensure that you get the most beautiful color possible.

What is a Loop Diamond Certificate?

Loop Diamond Certificates will come standard, with your black or champagne diamond. It is a grading report for your center diamond. That way you know exactly the characteristics of your diamond! Loop Champagne diamond certificate and Loop Black Diamond certificate

What is the color and clarity grade for your diamond melee?

The quality of our diamond melee (small stones that are used for halos and ring shanks) is H-I in color, and SI1 in clarity.

Do you have any other diamond shapes that I can use instead?

Currently we sell round, emerald, oval and cushion shaped diamonds. If there is a particular diamond shape you want (such as a pear) contact Loop’s Diamond Concierge and we would love to help you find one!

Am I able to put a Loop diamond on hold?

Because our white diamond inventory is live and constantly being updated on our website we are unable to hold a specific diamond for you. However, if you have been in touch with the Loop’s Concierge and the diamond you are looking at becomes unavailable, we will find a comparable option for you! This is what we would do for our friends and family.

Am I able to purchase just the diamond?

Good question! Contact our Diamond Concierge at concierge@loopjewelry.com or chat us

Do you sell laboratory created diamonds?

We sure do! It’s not something that we have in our current collection, however certainly something we can custom source for you. Lab created diamonds are physically and chemically the same as a natural diamond. They are just grown in the laboratory vs the earth and tend to be priced around at least 15% less than a natural diamond with all the same characteristics. One thing to note is that there isn’t enough historical data about how lab created diamonds will fair in the market. Something to keep in mind is that a diamond whether natural or lab created shouldn’t be thought of as an investment, but rather because you love it!

Do you sell moissanite?

While it’s not on our website, if you would like a moissanite instead of a diamond for your center stone, just reach out to our Diamond Concierge and we can source it for you.

Where is my Loop ring made?

Our manufacturing partners are located overseas, which allows us to offer such great pricing. Our partners also own all the diamonds and will only work with vendors that ethically source stones. Once the rings are made and arrive at our HQ in New York City, the center stones are set, and then shipped to you.

How do I know what materials are used in my jewelry?

You are able to choose which metal type you prefer when you select your setting. 18kt gold is more expensive because it has a higher gold content (75% gold) than 14kt (58.5% gold) which is stronger (great if you are active). Platinum is 90% to 95% precious metal, so it’s heavier and is also much more rare. It all comes down to personal preference. The good news is: all of our designs are available in 14kt and 18kt yellow, rose and white gold as well as platinum.

What is white gold?

White gold is a combination of yellow gold alloyed with other metals. If you are wanting a white metal but have skin allergies due to the nickel, white gold might not bethe way to go. Nickel is usually what most people are allergic to. Because gold comes out of the ground naturally yellow, no matter how many alloys are mixed in to make it more white, all white gold (regardless of where it is purchased) will require rhodium plating. Rhodium plating is a surface treatment to keep your ring looking bright and high polished. No need to worry about this! You are covered for rhodium plating annually with Loop Care.

What is yellow gold?

Yellow is the purest gold. In its natural state, it is much too soft for jewelry. To make it stronger and more durable for your ring different karat weights are created. This is typically done by alloying it with zinc and copper. 14K yellow gold tends to have a softer color because it’s alloyed with higher quantities of copper and zinc, whereas 18K yellow gold, because it has a higher gold content, it will have a deeper and richer gold color.

What is rose gold?

Rose gold is a combination of yellow gold alloyed with copper. The higher the copper content, the more reddish pink the metal will appear.

What is platinum?

Platinum is a great alternative if you are wanting a whitish grey metal and you have skin allergies because it is hypoallergenic. It is also a more dense and rare metal. Besides being hypoallergenic, platinum is great for someone who does not want the additional upkeep of rhodium plating white gold. Due to its denseness, when you scratch platinum, the metal moves to another part of the ring which is part of the beauty of platinum. Over time platinum creates a patina or matte finish and becomes a part of you.

950 Platinum Alloy Mixture
95% Platinum
2.8% Copper
1.6% Cobalt

Will my 14K and 18K white gold rings turn yellow over time?

Because 14K and 18K white gold will always have a gold tint since gold comes out of the ground naturally yellow, no matter how many alloys are mixed in to make it more white, all white gold (regardless of where it is purchased) will require rhodium plating after regular day-to-day wear. Rhodium plating is a surface treatment to keep your ring looking bright, white, and high polished. You are covered for rhodium plating annually with Loop Care.

Where will the hidden stone be set?

Your hidden stone will be set at the 4 o’clock or 7 o’clock position on the inside of the ring band so that it’ll always touch your skin.

What are the meanings for the hidden stones?

Rhodolite Garnet: Confidence and personal growth
Blue Sapphire: Inner truth and peace
Citrine: Exciting and passionate
Amethyst: Balance and lasting commitment
Pink Tourmaline: Determination and commitment
Green Tourmaline: Compassion and patience

Am I able to purchase the setting alone?

Here at Loop we're committed and believe in taking care of our customers and their Loop rings forever which is why we provide Loop Care at no extra charge.Since the center stone would not be from Loop, we wouldn’t be able to offer our Loop Care (100-day return/exchange, 100-day resizing, lifetime guarantee, annual cleaning and maintenance, and free shipping always) for just the setting. We also wouldn’t be able to set your center stone due to liability reasons with setting stones that aren’t our own, and also because each of our settings is custom created around our diamonds.

I have my own diamond and love your settings. Can I send you my diamond to have it set into your setting?

Thank you for wanting to make your heirloom diamond part of your Loop journey. Because your diamond is so special, we don’t want anything to happen to it. Even though our jewelers are experts, anything can happen, so we are unable to create a Loop ring for you with your diamond.

I LOVE the ring design, but I was hoping to make a small change to it. For example, she wants a black diamond halo. Is this possible?

We would certainly love to hear all about your design ideas. We can definitely make modifications to our ring styles. Depending on the type of modification there may be $100 charge. Reach out to Loop’s Concierge at concierge@loopjewelry.com, chat in, or schedule a phone so we can let you know if your ideas are a possibility.

Can I get the wedding bands with black or champagne diamonds?

Can I custom-make a ring?

We are hoping that this is a service we can offer in 2019! Keep in mind that our current inventory is customizable!

I am planning on mixing metals when I purchase my wedding band, should I do this?

Yes! Of course. Mixing metals is a great way to create a unique wedding set. As a note, it is not always best to mix platinum with any color (white, rose, yellow) of gold. This is because platinum is a dense metal and can “beat up” on your gold rings. That said, if you would still like to mix platinum and gold, no worries. We have you covered with our Loop Care.

How do I take care of my ring ?

Third party insurance is ALWAYS your best friend. This will protect your ring from loss, theft, and damage. In fact, we have partnered with Lemonade Insurance. For additional information on how Lemonade can work for you, .

Practicing daily ring care will help over the lifetime of your ring.

Things to avoid:
  • Wearing your ring while swimming (either in a pool, hot tub or the ocean)
    • When you swim, the water tends to be a colder temperature, which can make your finger smaller and your ring will slip right off. Yikes. The metal can also discolor depending upon what chemicals are in the pool/hot tub.
  • Wearing your ring while you wash dishes or shower
    • Soap and shower gel can make your ring slippery and you don’t want the chance of it falling off and going down the drain!
  • Wearing your ring while cooking or cleaning
    • Minute particles of food can get trapped in your ring making it super hard to clean. And the chemicals we all use while cleaning, can mess with your metal and cause discoloration.
  • Wearing your ring while working in the yard or doing physical activities (like going hiking or the gym)
    • Damage can easily occur when stress is applied on your ring. Prongs can be pulled, the ring can become out of round, and the worst damage can be caused to your diamond.
  • Wearing your ring while you sleep
    • Prongs can get caught and bend on your sheets or worse you can unknowingly scratch yourself while sleeping.

We know that life happens and you can’t always avoid things that it throws your way, which is why we have you covered with our Loop Care

Can I clean my Loop ring at home?

Yes! Best way to clean your diamonds is with lukewarm water with a tiny amount of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush. Diamonds are attracted to grease and grime, the dish soap helps cut through this.

Any recommendations on how to figure out ring size?

Asking a family member, close friend, etc. to help you in the search for engagement ring size can be super helpful. They can always do a “secret” shopping trip, borrow a ring that is worn often on her ring finger, or might just already know.

What if I don’t order the correct size?

You're totally covered with Loop Care for your engagement ring and you'll get one free ring resizing within 100-days. If for any reason an additional sizing is needed after the first free resize (whether it's still within the 100-days or afterward), then there's a $100 charge for each time it needs to be sized. However, we prefer to only size rings once as sizing the same ring multiple times can affect the integrity of the ring. We recommend going to a local jeweler and having your finger sized with thin metal ring sizing tools to get your accurate finger size.

How long will it take for my ring to be resized?

Because we cast your ring in the size you selected, depending upon the actual size you need will determine the turn-around time for your ring sizing. If we can resize your ring without affecting the integrity of the setting, it will take 5-7 business days starting from the day we receive your ring in NY. If we can’t resize your ring safely it will have to be remade for you. This process can take up to three weeks. Fear not, our team will let you know either way before any changes are done to your ring.

How should I package my ring for resizing?

Every Loop ring from our permanent collection comes with Loop Care which includes 100-day returns/exchanges, lifetime guarantee, annual cleaning and maintenance, 100-day resizing, and free shipping.

We hope your ring goes along for all your adventures, so we expect a little wear and tear. Once a year, we’ll bring your ring back to HQ for its Loop Care annual check-up & to clean your ring, keep those diamonds shining and ensure everything is secure. Just like going to the doctor for your yearly checkup. If there’s no additional work needed, we’ll send it back to you within 5-7 business days from the day we received your ring at HQ.

Important to know: Yearly Loop Care checkups help maintain your lifetime warranty. We’ll send you email reminders, but if you don’t send in your ring for its yearly checkup your lifetime warranty will expire.

Do you offer a warranty on your rings?

We offer a warranty on all rings in our permanent collection excluding our Milestone rings. Your engagement ring should last forever so if there’s an issue down the road, due to a manufacturing defect, we’ll always fix or replace it. (But to be clear, if you run over the ring with your car or something, that’s on you). But if it’s a manufacturing defect, we’ll make it right. We’ll cover return shipping, give your ring a checkup, and contact you within 48 hours to let you know how we can help.

Important to know: If your ring has been repaired or serviced by a jeweler other than Loop HQ, it will void the warranty -meaning if you’ve taken it to someone else, we can’t repair or replace it anymore. Loop Care

Conditions and Exclusions Our Loop Lifetime Warranty is only available to the person who purchased the ring from Loop Jewelry. Your Loop ring is a piece of fine jewelry, and therefore is not beyond the daily wear activities and unexpected trauma you can put it through. Loop's Lifetime Guarantee does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear or unexpected trauma, loss of stones, product loss, theft or mysterious disappearance of your Loop ring. We recommend that you maintain insurance coverage for your jewelry to help cover significant damage, loss or theft. Loop Care coverage also excludes any loss or damage to your ring that results from the failure to send your ring back to us for its annual Loop Care inspection. If we determine that damage to your ring is warrantied, we will repair it at no cost to you. If we determine that the damage is not caused by a manufacturing defect, we will email you and go over any work that needs to be done to your ring.

Here are some examples of common ring issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under our Loop Lifetime Guarantee.

  • Metal discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, hair products, make-up, swimming pools (hot tubs) or bathing.
  • Building up prongs or metal restoration work. Precious metals in general will wear over time due to normal wear.
  • Prongs that are bent, caught or worn which allows for a stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage.
  • Stone loss due to the stone being chipped or the stone breaking due to normal wear or other damage.

How does your price match program work?

Loop Jewelry diamond price matching is no joke. Price matching is possible, it does happen, and this is how it happens: If you find the same full-price white diamond available on a competitor’s website at a lower price, then you should let us know. We will match that price or give you even better pricing. The terms and conditions are below.

In order to receive a price match, you need to provide evidence that the stone on the competitor’s website is identical to the stone you are looking at on Loop’s site. The diamond can't be under promotion, have a unique discount and must be available for purchase to any member of the public. Please have the GIA report number as well as the live link to where the diamond is available. With this we will go to bat for you to get you the better price!

Chat, email or call the Loop’s Concierge and let us know the information about the white diamond you want to price match. Give us some time to verify the details and we will come back to you with a matching or better price.

Do you offer price matching for black diamonds?

No. Our black diamonds are “friends and family” priced while making sure that you are getting the best quality possible!

Do you offer price matching for champagne diamonds?

No. Our champagne diamonds are also “friends and family” priced while making sure that you are getting the best quality possible!

Can I get price matching for more than one diamond?

Only one diamond per customer is eligible for Loop’s Diamond Price Match Guarantee (multiple claims on the same diamond will not be eligible, regardless of the quantity ordered), and it can only be applied once per diamond, even if a lower-priced offer is subsequently found. See our Diamond Price Match page for more information.

What are Lab Grown Diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds have the same physical, chemical and optical characteristics as natural (from the earth) diamonds. They are grown in a laboratory but they have the same sparkle and chemical structure as earth-mined diamonds making them definitely an “everyday” option.

What is White Gold?

White gold is a combination of yellow gold alloyed with other metals. Because gold comes out of the ground naturally yellow, no matter how much it is alloyed with other metals, it will require rhodium plating to give it that nice white look. Rhodium plating is a surface treatment to make the gold look bright and high polished.

Can I choose a different gold color or metal type for the "Yes, They're Diamonds" Studs?

These studs are not made to order and can not be ordered in another metal type or gold color.

Do the lab grown diamonds come with a diamond grading report or certificate?

The lab grown diamonds that are in these earrings will not come with a diamond grading report, this is typical for most small diamond earrings.

What is the lab grown diamond quality?

The lab grown diamonds are in the near colorless color range and are slightly included.

What is Sterling Silver?

Sterling silver consists of 92.5% pure silver. The other 7.5% of the alloy is usually copper, which strengthens the silver without compromising its appearance. Our sterling silver jewelry is also plated with a thin layer of rhodium (precious metal related to platinum) to give it a bright white look. Rhodium plating is not permanent and will eventually wear off due to regular wear, to help maintain the rhodium it’s important to take proper care of the jewelry. After the rhodium has worn off then a soft silver jewelry polishing cloth should be used to return the shine, as the silver does react to oxygen and will tarnish over time.

What is Vermeil?

Vermeil is a very specific term for a type of gold plating. Vermeil requires a thicker layer of gold over a sterling silver base. This is not to be confused with regular “gold fill” or “gold plated” jewelry where the base can be brass and the thickness of the gold layer isn’t guaranteed. Our vermeil jewelry is plated with 2.5 microns of 14kt gold. Microns are also known as micrometers, to help give perspective a single human red blood cell will average between 6-8 micrometers wide and a single human hair can be between 17-180 micrometers wide.

Can my Everyday Jewelry tarnish?

Over time, the vermeil plating and the rhodium plating will fade away and dull slightly. For the sterling silver jewelry after the rhodium has worn off then a soft silver jewelry polishing cloth should be used to help bring back the shine. Rhodium is a precious metal related to platinum and is used to give the jewelry a bright white look, it is plated on our sterling silver jewelry and also our 14kt white gold jewelry. 14kt gold will not tarnish, however the rhodium plating on the 14kt white gold can wear off with normal wear and will not be as bright white.

What is solid 14kt gold?

In its natural state gold is much too soft for jewelry - this is considered 24kt gold. To make it stronger and more durable it is alloyed with different metals - this is typically done by alloying it with zinc and copper. 14Kt gold has been alloyed so that it is 58.5% gold combined with different metals. Gold’s natural color is yellow - white gold appears white because it is plated with rhodium and rose gold appears rosey because it has been mixed with more copper. Rhodium plating is not permanent and will eventually wear off with regular wear, to help maintain the rhodium it’s important to take proper care of the jewelry. The rose color in rose gold will not fade over time because the color does not come from plating.

How can I personalize my Everyday Jewelry?

You can personalize the Everyday Jewelry items by selecting the metal type, the metal color, and the gemstone. We also offer optional engraving at no additional cost. Please note that once engraved, an item becomes final sale.

Can my engraving be in languages other than English?

Please contact our Concierge via Live Chat during 9am-6pm (PST) with your inquiry. We’ll check with our jewelers to see if we are able to engrave in your language.

HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY “Yes, They’re Diamonds” STUDS?

The lab grown diamond earrings can be cleaned using mild dish soap and water. The gold basket that holds the diamond can be cleaned from underneath using a soft toothbrush with water and soap. The gold earring backing can also be cleaned this way. Make sure to dry completely after cleaning your studs. It’s important to avoid activities that can expose your jewelry to hard minerals or chemicals because overtime it will affect the finish of your jewelry. Avoid taking your earrings into any type of water (like the ocean, pool, or shower), getting make-up or sunscreen on your earrings, and sleeping with your earrings on. This will help maintain the longevity of your items.
